EMS Solutions Group is currently looking for freelance/contract-based SharePoint 2010 implementation and/or branding and development consultants for projects around the country. All levels of experience are welcomed.
Skills vary based on project scope, but the consultant should be versed in the following core technologies and areas:
Development Consultants:
- ASP.NET master pages, site templates, page templates
- SharePoint 2010 SDK and based framework
- SharePoint Designer 2010
- Web Part development using ODBC sources such as SQL and SharePoint Lists/libraries
- SharePoint 2010 BCS Applications
- SharePoint 2010 and Foundation page design and branding techniques
- Feature creation and deployment for branding elements
Infrastructure/Implementation Consultants:
- SharePoint 2010/Foundation services, configuration and implementation best practices
- SharePoint 2010 deployment for multi-server implementations
- SQL 2008/R2 Single Server and Clustered implementations
- Windows 2008/R2
- Windows Clustering
- Windows Load-balancing and similar clustering technologies (Knowledge)
- DNS, Active Directory, Certificates, Firewalls
- ADFS 2.0 for claims-based authentication
In addition to technical skills, the following professional skills are desired:
- Excellent customer interaction and professional presence skills
- Structured technical documentation and diagraming skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Public speaking skills desired, but not required
- Technical mentoring skills desired, but not required
Travel:
- We work with partners and customers around the country, so travel may be required as needed. Approved travel costs are reimbursed.
Compensation:
- We pay our contract-based consultants 70% of the rate agreed upon by our partner and/or client.
