Eric M. Stepek (or just E.)
CEO / SharePoint Infrastructure Architect
I was born and raised in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. My wife and I moved our three young children to Olathe, Kansas in 2000.
I am an infrastructure consultant focusing on Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as SharePoint, the Windows Server and Desktop platforms, SQL Server 2005/2008, ISA Server 2006, Exchange Server, Office and the Windows scripting languages. I do a lot of coding, but mostly VB.NET and now some C#. I'm also expanding my skills into SharePoint customizations with SharePoint Designer 2010.
My current focus is learning everything and anything about SharePoint. This is a technology that I love working with and so far, have been involved with over twenty SharePoint 2007-2010 implementation projects as well as many training opportunities on SharePoint.
My hobbies include woodworking, remodeling, updating or working on homes, traveling all over with my family, building, flying (and a lot of times repairing) R/C airplanes and helicopters, football, soccer, softball and volleyball. My kids and my wife are my world and much of what I do is for them.
Many people ask me why I decided to start my own company. EMS was started with the following guiding principles:
